725M Compact Riders

This Compact Rider from Mountfield is small enough to drive through a standard garden gate. With a 62cm/25in working width it has an electric key start engine and has a manual gearbox with 3 forward gears and reverse with a soft start clutch for smooth engagement every time. The cutter blade features a safety brake and height of cut is easy to adjust to 5 positions between 30mm to 75mm. 1228 Lawn Riders

Designed with gardens in mind the Mountfield 1228 handles perfectly, even in the most restricted areas - the overall width is a mere 76cm/30in. Powered by a reliable 12.5hp Briggs & Stratton engine it has a choice of manual transmission with 5 forward and reverse gears or hydrostatic transmission with infinitely variable ground speed at the touch of a lever. A powerful 71cm/28in working width cutter deck ensures perfect grass cutting and collection whatever the conditions. When conditions are suitable collection and disposal of grass clippings can be eliminated by fitting an optional Mulching Kit. An optional Striping Roller Kit is also available; this will leave a classic striped effect finish to the lawn. This rider certainly sets the standard for others to follow.

1436M Lawn Tractor

A genuine Lawn Tractor at a price normally associated with smaller riders the 1436M is designed for gardens of 1.5 to 2 acres. Powered by an 13.5hp GGP engine the 1436M has a manual transmission with 5 forward and a reverse gear and is fitted with a 92cm/35in Contra-Flo cutter deck.

Clippings are collected and discharged into the 260 litre capacity rear collector which can be emptied from the driving seat; debris such as fallen leaves or pine needles can also be collected efficiently in the same way. An audible alarm notifies the operator when the collector is full and resets automatically when it has been emptied.

The deck features a wash facility with a snap-on-connector - just attach your hose to make cleaning after use simplicity itself.

1438M SD

The Mountfield 1438M-SD offers the perfect solution for those of you who do not wish to collect your grass clippings. In tall growth conditions the side discharge mode neatly cuts and spreads the grass so it can be left to wilt naturally. For areas that are being mown on a more regular basis the mulching function cuts and re-cuts the grass into small particles that disappear into the turf, returning valuable nutrients to the soil. Powered by a 13.5hp single cylinder Briggs & Stratton engine the 1438M SD has a manual transmission with 5 forward and a reverse gear. It is fitted with a 98cm/38in working width cutter deck with side discharge or mulch options.
